Short introduction about

MOSTart Non-profit International Cultural Association

 

 

MOSTart NGO is a very young international cultural and educational association counting 12 members who are professional artist, teachers and experts providing adult and also children education. The association manages an art centre with free school activities, festivals, exhibitions and cultural events.

 

Main aims in the field of art are

(1)  Helping connection and communication among artists of different art fields (dance, music, theatre, movies, literature, visual and fine arts, etc.), involving creative arts and modern ICT-based methods. Developing, testing and implementing materials and new pedagogical methods and strategies designed to improve the teaching and learning of ICT skills, especially regarding to art expressions.

(2)  Promoting art activities and products, aspiring them to meet each other (global art conception). Raising awareness of relevant target groups and wide public about the role of art expression, intercultural dialogue and its contribution to social cohesion, active citizenship, gender equality and personal fulfilment. Strengthening the sense of European citizenship based on understanding and respects for human rights and democracy, encouraging tolerance and acceptance of foreign peoples and cultures. Developing easier communication with each other.

(3)  Helping to introduce young artists with organising international exhibitions, art actions, festivals, art camps and writing art tenders. Awakening and reinforcing creativity, innovation, competitiveness, and employability. Developing a sense of initiative and entrepreneurship

(4)   Promoting cultural heritage and innovate cultural adventures in regional areas, involving public, regardless to participants socio-economic backgrounds or any kind of special needs. Involving marginalized groups into special activities.

(5)  Developing a new virtual channel (artCHANNEL) including partners’ activities.

 

Main aims in the field of education are

(1)   Acting as a crossing bridge between international schools at different levels, educational systems and other institutes or communities. Raising awareness of relevant target groups on the importance of improving the level of education by cooperation. Making an understanding about the role of education within Lisbon process at both European and national level. Improving the quality of education and training of the staff with changing experiences and best practices Encouraging the best use of results, innovative products and processes to exchange good practice in order to improve the quality of education.

(2)   Working out a high-levelled, up-to-date teaching system and methodology, in cooperation with international partners, using multimedia as a mediator channel. Promoting digital educational content relating to key competences and encouraging participants to use digital technology and resources creatively. Increasing student motivation, making learning more attractive with alternative pedagogical approaches and exciting tasks which need personal emotions, self-expression and taking responsibilities.

(3)   Improving conditions and assuring educational activities of young people with the help of international tenders (LLP programs), laying special emphasis on children with special needs. Building up strong working relationship among each other.

(4)   Developing cultural and educational possibilities of local regions with the help of international tenders (Grundtvig, Town-Twinning, Culture etc.). Developing knowledge and understanding among young people and educational staff of the diversity of European cultures and languages and its value. Concerning the transfer of innovation for improving teachers’ skills and competences, and to make professional development available to them. Maximising the impact of European cooperation in the field of school education, by disseminating and giving a high profile to the results and methods of such cooperation

 

The association is a very young organisation learning European partnership in an almost autodidact way. Its experts have practical experiences in adult and children education, rather regarding to using, demonstrating and teaching alternative pedagogical approaches like project-based methodology, cooperative teaching methods, ICT-based content in teaching, differential learning progress, Step by Step methodology, TIE teaching methods, integrating children with special needs and disadvantageous groups in education, involving creative arts in educational process. The association is the legal ambassador of the eTwinning projects of Central-Hungarian Region, and works as a multiplicator for educational institutes, adults and elder people in EU projects. It organises a represent educational experiment in teaching, using broadcasting (flash-meeting system) in demonstrating international lessons for European educational institutes. It has started to arrange its legal registration as a professional adult learning provider with those methodologies mentioned above. Members are also active artists.

In spite of its age, the association has great experiences in managing international activities like centralised Youth project, many Comenius multiplications, Twinning Town and eTwinning projects. It has several working relationships across Europe, acting as a multiplicator with around 80 educational and training institutes from min. 15 countries. The association also plays a significant role in forming social consciousness, preparing social institutes and organisations for changing views, developing abilities of tolerance and acceptance. It lays emphasis on promotion of equality between ethnical groups, the integration of disabled persons and other people with special educational needs, and the fight again racism.
